BusiChic outfit post: LMFF Day One

Dear BusiChicizens, on day one of L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) 2011, I had helmet hair. That’s right and actually not only that; I got to meet some very inspiring women in the industry who kindly allowed me to get photos with them. The moral of this post I think is to make time to look in the mirror once you’ve finished your commute (whatever your means)! I’ll be sticking to the bicycle but will try to heed my own advice when I next ride – stay tuned! And in the meantime, here are the images of some very chic ladies – thank you Erin & Michelle for inspiring!

with Erin Mullaney, renowned buyer, who spoke at LMFF Industry Forum 1: Retail Detail. A great presentation, Erin touched on how her experience as a strategic consultant with Accenture gave her the business acumen which she has applied to the fashion world.

with Michelle Jank, stylist and designer who styled LMFF's opening event, Fashion Full Stop. For the record, I'd like to be a rhinestone in Michelle's necklace. 🙂

...I should have kept my helmet on??

    2. Love your look here, you where a breath of fresh air against a sea of black 🙂

    3. Love the colours of the dress! And both of the statement necklaces are amazing!

      • @Max McDougall – thank you! I do love black but think its refreshing to get a bit of colour in every now and again and love a statement accessory 😉 Look forward to seeing you at the shows!

    4. OH my that helmet! I saw you somewhere on Brunswick St. I spotted your helmet right away! I loved it! 😀

      • @Elly Tou – hehe thank you. I’m a big believer in colourful clothing and statement helmet so that cars can see you and I like to think the cherry blossoms are a wee bit prettier than the ol’ fluoro 😉 Thanks for stopping by!

    5. Your hair is ace! Loved Erin’s talk too! xo

    6. Great post! I think your hair looks great and love your helmet flowers too!
