I hope that you had a safe and lovely weekend.
I’m kicking off a series today, starting with the outfit that I wore to a night at Melbourne Museum’s Smart Bar! I did not to wear my Little Black Dress to this event as it is tricky to bend over and photograph folks in that form fitting number- as I found out when I once split the dress as I bent down to photograph a BusiChic’s shoes. More on that another time!
So it is Summer here in Australia and summer fashions often mean sleeveless tops and blouses. Conservative workplaces often frown upon bare shoulders so I thought that I’d share how I accessorise to toe the line. Take a look:
So there you have it, using a lightweight scarf to cover my shoulders, I manage to keep my office ensemble floaty and free whilst being office-appropriate. What do you think?
Melbourne Museum’s Smart Bar
Regular readers of BusiChic or those who follow my personal Twitter account will be well aware that as much as I like work, I am interested in interesting ways to play as well.
So when the kind folks at Melbourne Museum invited me to their most recent Smart Bar event, I jumped at the chance for some after-work geeking! In case you didn’t catch the series that I photographed at the Smart Bar held earlier on this year, this event is aimed at adults only. Participants are invited to visit the museum after dark and purchase and consume food and alcohol whilst taking in themed talks or perusing the museum’s exhibitions. A very different experience to the visits one might’ve had on a school excursion! Stay tuned for posts on Wednesday and Friday this week, showing some of the stylish folk I photographed attending the most recent Smart Bar!
