Longer-time BusiChics will be aware that I’m now trying to blog three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. However I received some really lovely encouragement that I wanted to share with you: big thanks to Jade Craven who authored a post on influential blog-for-bloggers, ProBlogger, naming me one of the 15 Bloggers to Watch in 2013.
As a fan of ProBlogger, I’ve followed the lists that Jade has created over the last three years (my blog turns 3 in March!) and was extremely surprised and honoured to make the cut; thank you, Jade! Some of my very favourite bloggers are on the list such as Gavin Aung Than from Zen Pencils (AMAZING INSPIRATIONAL COMICS) and the incredibly clever Christina Butcher who started off the immensely successful Hair Romance and has since gone on to establish Nail romance and Mr and Mrs Romance.
Running after strangers to ask to photograph them for the internet is an activity that adds colour to my day. Thank you to everyone who has allowed me to photograph them to date as well those who took the time to reject me, politely. If there’s anything I’ve learnt from the blog, is how refreshing it is to meet nice people. People, it don’t cost much to be nice!
And to you dear BusiChic, I’ve really appreciated your support! You’ve been patient as I’ve experimented with different types of posts from my core streetstyle photographs (thank you to everyone who has shared tips and resources to help me improve over the years, please don’t stop!), reviews of business networking events to the Little Black Dress Project which will wrap up by the time we exhibit at Melbourne Central for the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. I hope that you’ll stop by and say hello as I’d love to thank you for your support in person!
If you are new to BusinessChic, welcome to the business fashion blog where I share my streetstyle photographs of stylish professionals to give the rest of us ideas on what to wear to work. This is my creative outlet from my dayjob in Finance so I’d greatly appreciate hearing from you and what you would like to see here!
If you are a blogger and would like to up your chances of making the list, Jade has prepared a free pdf with her advice. Simply visit JadeCraven.com to download your copy.
