There seems to be a theme this week of dressing for work when the weather is hot but the office is chilly.
Growing up, the Australian-owned purveyors of work wear, army and camping goods, Aussie Disposals (AD), were my go-to for canvas backpacks and the like. Nearing the end of this 52 week project, I came to realise that I had not yet done a military-inspired look. I’d originally planned to do a look featuring a longline woolen jumper but simply never got around to it. So it was that I found myself visitng AD on a blistering hot day when I came across other accessories which fit the bill.
Have you heard of a Shemagh Head Scarf ? Check out the product claim:
I haven’t been able to find the exact product on the AD website but the TAS Pistol Belt provides a similar look. Now onto the styles I’ve whipped up using these two accessories, two diffferent pairs of socks, a brooch, a hair doughnut and some red lippy. Which of these looks do you like the most?
I’m still working away on my LBD Project book and assembling a dream team of people I’d love to work with. Hopefully they’ll say yes! I’m still after some visual merchandisers to help curate the exhibition so if you or someone you know would love the experience, please get in touch with me! Anyhow which of the above looks would you like to see in the book?
Outfit details: LBD by Bento, Shemagh Scarf , similar belt to the TAS Pistol Belt, brooch that I also wore here in Week 21, Sonia Rykiel pom pom socks (now on quite the sale!) and Juniper style ankle boots from ziera.
What do you think of this week’s LBD style? If black & white are more your colour palette, you might like this Shemagh Head Scarf!
