Happy Sunday, BusiChic!
I hope that you’re having a great one.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is not a ficitional chronic illness suffered by a fictional American president in best-series-of-all-time, The West Wing. It’s a real life disease that affects 23,000 Australians. 3 out of 4 are women.
So what can we do? If you are out and about today and particularly if you’re in need of a shop, I recommend stopping by Greville Street where Kiss Goodbye to MS events are taking place TODAY ONLY. One of my great friends, Jina, is one of the retailers taking part so I stopped by to take some photos and show you her store!
When I first started my blog, Jina’s one of the first people who reached out to me to say, “Hey I think you’d really like Twitter.” These days Jina keeps my work wardrobe updated – I’m always pleasantly surprised by the range of BusiChic items that she has in store. Jina spent a fair bit of time living in London and now stocks labels that she discovered there as well as great array of emerging Australian designers. I picked up my Nomadic Five O’Clock Friday handbag there that features a laptop compartment as well as accessories that I used in the Little Black Dress Project to jazz up my LBD! Check out this tweed/neoprene jacket that I currently have my eye on – classic cut with vibrant colour plus the neoprene means that you can fold the coat to sit perfectly! So clever!
MS has affected the lives of some of Jina’s best friends so she’s jumped at the chance to get involved to help raise awareness about MS as well as to make a contribution to helping life more bearable for sufferers of MS.
Urban Jin will be providing cupcakes and champagne for customers with part of the day’s proceeds going to Kiss Goodbye to MS. Hope to see you there!
