The festive season is well upon us so to get you into the mood, I’m going extreme today with Anastasia Driver, fashion buyer at high-end fashion boutique, Le Louvre. I photographed Anastasia at the launch of The Olsen Pool Club sporting this vibrantly coloured Polished ensemble that is a stunning reminder to seriously consider wearing clashing colours to the office party!
Anastasia wears Stella McCartney’ Joan silk crepe-de-chine and silk dress and wool and silk blazer, Celine Trapeze bag and Pierre Hardy pumps.
The Polished BusiChic
I loved Polished BusiChics like Anastasia because I think that they look FABULOUS and are among the most fun to photograph! That said, I categorise this look as “Polished” because I recognise that this style can actually too dressy for the office; it is so sharply tailored, vibrantly hued and textured that it’s too much for the conservative tut-tutters – sad but I’ve seen it happen Such a shame really as I believe it’s nicer to be overdressed rather than underdressed – what do you think?
The revealing lace detail on the bottom of Anastasia’s Stella McCartney dress is what it make it a little too risque for a corporate environment. If you love the colour but need a “less-forward” look, the Stella McCartney Duke dress or Veronika Maine’s Wrap Effect Pencil skirt might be your answer.
