A week in my shoes with Clarks Australia

busichic clarks australia a week in my shoes

This past week Clarks Australia presented me with a little challenge: to spend a week in their  Cedar Grove style shoe.

I love a challenge and worked hard to bring seven different looks showing how this style can be used for work and play. Those following my personal instagram @busichic will have seen these looks but for the rest of you, scroll below to see all of the looks I created and for details on how to win your own pair!

The challenge: to show a week's styling of the "Cedar Grove" shoes by Clarks Australia!

The challenge: to show a week’s styling of the “Cedar Grove” shoes by Clarks Australia!

Day One (Monday): after a great weekend, ease into the week in timeless black & white. I like to see the peek of an interesting shoe from the bottom of a pair of wide-leg pants. Cherry-blossom headphones add a playful element that’s easily put away once I get to work.

Day Two: I co-work from a bank that has a predominantly Contemporary Business Wear dresscode. While the co-working space can be a more casual, I like to take inspiration from the stereotypical banker’s uniform of white shirts and pinstripes. The “Cedar Grove” shape and mixed textures help keep the playful element while the overall style is classic enough for the financiers!

Day Three: getting over humpday in a LBD! A classic shift (yes the same one that I used in the 52-week long project!) that I’ve layered with a boucle jacket that can be ditched as the mercury rises. Black bag and Clarks Australia shoes complete the Contemporary Business Wear look.

Day Four: focus on the details. Zig-zag pattern on this vintage skirt play up the angles of my shoes! that add a bit more polish to a Business Casual look.

Casual Friday in a cross-over blouse and high-waisted jeans (shorties take note, this cut makes us look a taller!) and what my florist tells me is the last of the peonies- one of my favourite spring flowers!

Day Five: Casual Friday in a cross-over blouse and high-waisted jeans and what my florist tells me is the last of the peonies- one of my favourite spring flowers!

Weekend Chic: drinks with friends in the sunshine. It was a sunny weekend so I covered up top with a long-sleeve breton top while I was hoping for a bit more colour on the legs ;)

Day Six: Weekend-chic for drinks with friends in the sunshine. It was a sunny weekend so I covered up top with a hat, long-sleeve Breton top while I was hoping for a bit more colour on the legs 😉

The final look for this week in my shoes! A sunny Sunday session in tulle, summery basic top and hat.

Day Seven: The final look for this week in my shoes! A sunny Sunday session in tulle, summery basic top and hat.
