Fabulous in clashtastic florals and abstract leopard print

There’s a scene in the documentary about New York street style photographer Bill Cunningham in which he dons a waterproof poncho to venture out and scout for stylish folk on the streets of the Big Apple. His desire to hunt for style is not dampened by the rain.

I will confess that my efforts to seek out stylish workers is quite often hampered by wet weather. I don’t like umbrellas, getting wet myself or risking getting my camera wet, so I literally take a raincheck. However I was in the city during a recent deluge where I found that on my way to work, I came across some rather marvellously dressed women that has just about changed my mind about this!

Enter BusiChic Michelle who works as a Service Delivery Manager in Corporate Travel. Michelle describes her workplace dress code as Smart Casual but she herself likes to wear outfits that show a bit of an edge and incorporate trends. I’ve categorised Michelle’s outfit as Contemporary Business Wear as the pencil skirt and heels make it a bit more formal.

Clashtastic Business Chic in floral and leopard prints

Michelle wears Ted Baker jumper (similar top here + co-ordinating skirt, Ted Baker clothing for women doesn’t appear to be stocked online but visit The Iconic for accessories), Cue skirt (similar here), Ginger & Smart heels, Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 handbag (similar here in leather and here in colour).

Pink manicure at work

Michelle nails it with a pink manicure and oval-shaped nails.

Abstract leopard print statement heels for work

Abstract leopard print heels would make a statement with any outfit but make a rather fabulously clashtastic one with the floral prints in Michelle’s work ensemble.

As you can tell, I quite enjoy the brave clashing of prints when it’s done as playfully and well as Michelle has done. The key to her look is keeping the silhouette sleek and tailored and topped with fabulous hair.
