Work in a relatively casual workplace? Whether that’s home or with other people, it’s easy to dress very casually when there isn’t a dress code line to toe. It’s important to dress for comfort and getting the job done, but that doesn’t mean that your outfits have to be all or nothing.
Take inspiration from today’s BusiChic who was as cool as a tall glass of water when I photographed her on the brink of a very hot day.
Therese’s look is glamorous but also extremely comfortable to wear. I’d also consider layering a vest to add a bit more structure.
How do you describe your workwear style?
My work wear is not the traditional corporate attire. I like to be comfortable but I enjoy dressing up to make a statement.
What are some of your go-to outfits for:
(1) day in the office: Leather pencil skirt with a white singlet and a boyfriend blazer.
(2) important meetings: Cue black pants with a white long vest and white singlet.
(3) your desk-to-drink chic outfit: Black lace maxi skirt with my leather jacket.
Favourite skincare/haircare/cosmetics for your work look?
I use Dermalogica for skin care and I use mac cosmetics for my every day make up.
Favourite spots for lunch/coffee around town?
I love Chez Dre in South Melbourne and Einstein’s Relative for lunch in South Yarra.
