I am so enjoying seeing designers make great shoe styles available in different colours and this week’s Shoesday feature is no exception!
The “Through You” heeled flat by Gorman is a little unusual. It is like a loafer-meets-ballet shoe in that it’s a ballet shoe shape that is cut higher on the foot, like a loafer and has a loafer-like heel. These elements combined mean that if you like ballet flats but find you need a little more support than they normally provide (usually cut low on the foot meaning that your toes “claw” or splay to stay inside) this style is going to be perfect for you. The flat comes in gold, lilac, white and according to the website “navy” but on-screen looks like black and features an “invisible” heel making for a shoe that looks like no other; a pretty rare feat on the high street!
The different colourways means that even if you opt for the navy/black, it has that invisible heel element of interest that elevates it from being another boring black shoe. Try pairing the style with cropped pants or skirt layered with a chic top.
Is this the work shoe for you?
