Shop the Label: OnceWas A16 Collection “Sashiko”

Greetings BusiChics!

Welcome to fashion week in Melbourne! From March 7-14, the street style photographers of Melbourne will be descending upon the new home of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) to capture the stylish attendees of this year’s runway shows – hope to see you there!

Still stuck for what to wear to the shows? Melbourne-designed label, OnceWas, presented its collection for Autumn over the weekend in an exclusive trunk show as part of VAMFF which means I can share some highlights for the business chic wardrobe!

Here at BusinessChic, we are partial to pieces that enliven the work wardrobe, while being so fabulous that you want to wear them outside of hours too.

OnceWas designer, Belinda Glynn, creates clever collections that are essentially capsule wardrobes that will see you through your work and play each season. This season’s range is no different as Glynn cleverly marries a modern minimalist silhouette with decorative detail- and it is this detail “Sashiko” – the traditional craft of Japanese decorative stitiching- that is the namesake of this season’s offering. But wait there’s more – as the weather cools, wearer’s will enjoy the luxurious fabrics used which include buttery soft lamb leather and fluid silks – divine.
