WORLD x Doritos Bag

WORLD is a wonderful local kiwi label known for its colourful and avant-garde approach to fashion executed in high quality fabrics. If you ever find yourself in New Zealand, do make sure that you visit a World store to experience its fabulously styled clothing collections set amongst luxurious and quirky objets d’art, perfume, homewares and accessories. A true multi-sensory delight!

Speaking of delights, WORLD, delighted my pregnant self towards the end of last month when I spied a genius new accessory that promised to answer a conundrum. “Is it possible to make snacking, chic?”

The brainchild of WORLD’s Creative Director, Francis Hooper, the series explores how WORLD interprets and misappropriates everyday objets as art and fashion. The first brand chosen, was the iconic Americana corn chip, Doritos.

Actual Doritos chip packets were hand crafted into bags, shoulder and clutch, double chain and single, in ornate gold loops, and made in New Zealand, as are WORLD garments, using local artisans.

The bags will be exhibited by WORLD before being auctioned for a charity of WORLD’s choice, as the brand has supported local and international charities since 1989.
