The Book of Love: Part One

The Book of Love is long and boring.. no-one can lift the damn thing.. it’s full of charts and facts and figures… and instructions; for dancing.

Earlier in the year, my girlfriend Katie, married her office romance. A very romantic affair, their wedding dance to the stirring ‘The Book of Love’ by Peter Gabriel inspired me to seek out BusinessChic duos. So over the course of this week, I hope you’ll come back and visit as each morning I will be loading up a new BusinessChic pair for your workwear inspiration – some are couples who I came across when together; others are complete strangers whom I asked to stand together side-by-side. I am particularly grateful to all for their participation; it’s trickier approaching couples than ‘singles’, let alone asking singles to be photographed with another! I hope I don’t get anyone in trouble with their own partners.. and I hope you enjoy the results. Xx Cheryl

La Chemist

I like the subtly feminine touches in this ensemble - from the peplum detail on the blazer, to the ruffle of her blouse (pictured above) and the floral hairpiece... also handbag, still very lady-like, helps break up all the black..

Overall a feminine and fresh look that is also polished and professional for the workplace

PS: If you thought the Book of Love clip I linked in above was corny; no-one else truly does corny like “Scrubs” – see here for use of the song in the show’s finale, but SPOILER ALERT!

My duo! 😛 - some shameless self-promotion here - If you have Channel 31 (going digital on June11) - tune in tonight at 9.30pm to catch Destination 90s and my little segment, '90s Child - where each week I present a toy from the 90s (and where possible dress up in theme)! Xx
