Black is Back

Melbourne’s weather is unpredictable which explains our love for safe staples in black. Here is a lovely Contemporary Business Wear ensemble that shows how to be safe but anything but boring! Xx Cheryl

headband & necklace Diva coat SunnyGirl dress I stole this from my sister scarf Cotton On bag Westfield in Plenty Valley stockings Kmart shoes Betts

Beauty note: Maybelline primer mascara and bronzer by Thin Lizzie. Also great layering of clothing and accessories- note that while all are in black, the different textures are what keeps this Contemporary Business Wear ensemble interesting.

For lunch, Erin likes to have coffee and a muesli bar or muffin.

Great mod detail on these boots - classic but fun and in wet weather, keep your feet dry!

  1. Just discovered this blog! Great idea, Cheryl!

However, I’ve gotta say that this coat looks too tight in the shoulders. It’d make sense, since SunnyGirl is an Asian brand that’s cut small.

    • Hi Mel

Thank you for your comment and glad to hear you like Business Chic. Interesting point on the shoulders, I’d thought that the shoulders were purposely tweaked! A great tip for us all in choosing a well-fitted coat, thanks for sharing:)
