The lady’s got some edge!

Oh Melbourne and your six-degrees of separation! I snapped today’s lady-like Contemporary Business Wear on her way to a BBQ where she entered into a conversation with another lady who turned out to be our blogging friend Joyce from MEL: HOT OR NOT/CycleStyle. Speaking of six-degrees of separation, I’m sure  that there are a few of you Business Chicizens who  have loved ones in North Queensland facing Cyclone Yasi, so we just want to take this time to say, our thoughts are with you both. Xx

I love Michelle's classic frames and sweet frock; ever so lady-like! Cosmetics-wise, I'd keep a neutral lip in the office but keep a spare brighter lippy like the one pictured handy to change the look when kicking on to afterwork drinks.

I'm partial to a bow, so here's another shot of the three that enliven Michelle's dress. Seasonally-versatile, I think this dress is perfect as is in warmer weather (I think I spy a red cardi which would be handy for cold spells and office aircon) and could be teamed with a long sleeve top and opaque stockings in winter!

A great pair of pointy flats, embellished with studs, balances out the girliness of this ensemble by adding some edge.

  1. Haha I remember meeting Michelle at the BBQ, she works at Funky Specs and blogs too!

    Nice dress too 🙂

    • Hi Joyce – no way – I’ll have to look Michelle’s blog up!

PS: have been thinking about you lots of late – all the best for the impending arrival!

  2. I love this dress – the pink against the navy is great 🙂

  3. So, so cute! Love that it fits her like a glove, too. Just adorable.
