Hi BusiChicizens, L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) is upon us and I’m going to do my darndest to bring you the BusiChic I spot during the festival. So to make this possible, first up you’re getting an outfit post – what I wore to my first official public speaking gig for BusiChic! For those who have noticed the clip embedded on the right-hand-side of Business Chic, I recently gave a Pecha Kucha presentation at MiFA gallery – one of the events part of this year’s LMFF cultural program.

I purchased this 1980s frock from a local op shop. I loved the colour and the pleating in the skirt but there was too much runching in the waist such that the length wasn't right on me and the original shoulder pads (I'd already torn these out before this photo was taken) were a little extreme.
blazer tailor-made dress op shop number which I got shortened for my height belt Yeojin Bae for Target shoes Delman

My upcycled frock without the blazer and with Jane - BusiChic's first featuree and a wonderful friend! Xx
- Side shot of my Pecha Kucha preso – check out the episode of BusinessChicTV for more. PS: that military-tractor-looking to the right of me is made out of cardboard – check it out at MiFA Gallery!

For more about my thoughts on Business Chic, check out the enclosed episode of BusinessChicTV – NB: Pecha Kucha is Japanese for ‘chit chat’ so the format is that I had to speak about each slide for 20seconds only – some cringe-worthy moments in here!
Love this 🙂
You are a superstar Ms Business Chic
@Carly Findlay – thanks lovely! There might be a few outfit posts coming up – I hope this is not too self-indulgent – appreciate any feedback 🙂 Xx
