LMFF: Style Melbourne & Megan Park

Dear BusiChicizens, welcome to a new week of BusiChic! Today we feature the workwear style of Style Melbourne editor, Sarah Willcocks. Sarah’s Polished Creative ensembles impressed us greatly throughout LMFF, so much in fact that we photographed her for (small)lust as well as Style Melbourne! We love how Sarah makes beautifully-embellished pieces appropriate for her work by teaming with BusiChic blazer and satchel. Turns out that Australian-born Megan Park is the designer who created the pieces in Sarah’s ensembles which most caught our eye the most; scroll down for our images of models sporting Megan Park on LMFF Paris Runway 3!

Clockwise from left: We love the beadwork and fabrics Megan Park has used in her Autumn/Winter collection; who says a work satchel needs to be boring? Love this classic number in a delicious hue of cherry; bold pumps make a statement for this style editor!

BusiChic attended this show as a guest of NOVA100. We loved Megan Park’s styling; particularly the intricate accessories with vibrantly coloured beads which we think are perfect for adding interest to any work ensemble. And while we love how the intricate neckpieces added an extra dimension over Megan Park’s prints, we think they would also look great paired with simple knits and pair of work pants or skirt. Now without further ado, here is the BusiChic look at the Megan Park pieces we’d love to see or don ourselves in the workplace!

Polished/Creative/Contemporary Business Wear ensembles: consider popping on a belt and blazer to make this appropriate for your workplace - perfect to kick on to an afterwork event!

Corporates: Consider taking this floral print top, layering a or grey cardigan over the top as the weather gets cooler and pairing with a classic black skirt or pant suit. If you have a grey or charcoal suit, maybe opt for a cardigan in blue!

Ahhh THAT bustier on the LMFF catwalk - we like how Sarah's taken what we thought was an evening piece and made it work appropriate.

Work evening function? We much like this grecian-draped top in navy which features lovely beadwork and shoulder detail.

An example of how Megan Park's accessories add interest to the favourite hue of Melburnians and fashion editors, alike! We also love the very special beaded detail on the pocket of this jacket. Swoon.

  1. That pop of cherry with the bag is so cute and fun! Love the whole outfit!

  2. This piece of LMFF uniformery supports my longheld view that:
Two patterns almost-always make a RIGHT
Clearly, frock and shoes are having it off together behind closet doors.
    High-five!
    Round of applause!
    Etc, etc!

    • @Zoe – CLEARLY! 😀 What a great comment; love your words, lady! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon! X
