Easy chic for busy mums

There is a mini baby boom amongst some of my family and friends at the moment which has gotten me thinking about what mothers can wear to work. Time away from family has it pros and cons, today I look at the pros of taking the time to dress for yourself and the opportunity to do this through your work attire. Firstly, take a look at today’s BusiChic and mother of two, Gisella:

A cosy scarf in your favourite hue is a sure-fire way to add some cheer to your winter workwear.

Love this polished utilitarian bag

Fierce print in a classic shoe style is perfect for enlivening the workplace! phwoar!

What I like about Gisella’s ensemble and something that busy mum’s everywhere can replicate is the foundation piece of a classic trench coat which adds instant chic. A simple LBD in a knit underneath is easy for once in the office and in winter a pair of opaques completes the basics. Then invest well in a beautiful scarf that is delicious to touch and snuggle in but also in a favourite hue that is pleasing to your eye. Finally a pair of shoes that showcase your personality or similarly, in a print and style that you love, so that you always feel a million dollars when wearing them. Perfect for the school-run, parent-teacher interviews and the workplace, that’s my dissection of Gis’ workwear for busy mums and professionals, alike!

How do you personalise your workwear?
