stripes on stripes, a splash of leopard print and a flash of red = brilliant!

Bold and strong.

What a weekend. As a tweet I saw pointed out, it was one of highs and lows. At the start of the weekend I heard of a friend’s friend who died in a cycling accident on Beach Road. I spent the last wee hours of the weekend watching Cadel Evans ride into Paris as the first Australian to take the title as winner of the 2011 Tour de France. And I am the proud auntie of a brand new nephew.

But before we move on, please spare a thought for those who won’t be at work today. My thoughts are with those in Norway so horribly affected by the actions of one man. Some were people in an office. Others were kids too young perhaps even to have worked out if they wished to work in one. Thoughts too with Amy Winehouse; one woman whose work I love and use to keep myself going at work…

Which brings me to today’s BusiChic. I love the bold stripes of Tinie’s shirt AND suit and how she hasn’t been afraid to pile on other strong accessories in the way of leopard print (scarf, belt AND shoes!) and a flash of red. In fact it’s the brilliant flash of red that ties together this whole ensemble and makes all these elements work. Who said that Corporate had to be boring? Be bold, be strong, be yourself; life is too short for anything else.

And if that’s all a little bit to deep for a Monday morning, check out this link and have a think about how you market yourself professionally. Then click here to see how I can help to finesse your professional image. Do it!

  1. Love her red belt- patent!!

  2. ooh love Cubec – I went in there on the weekend and finally tried on one of their suits.

Do you know any other Melbourne suit tailors who make a well cut ladies suit? I like something a bit unusual. I was thinking Antons…

    • Hi Esz!

I haven’t been to Anton’s myself for women’s stuff but I know that Karlee Slater offers a bespoke suit service – check out this link showing pics of Karlee modelling a fabulous vintage-style suit she made – http://www.goldenagevintage.com/p/press-images.html
      HTHs!

Otherwise I tend to hit up American Rag or the Lost and Found Market for straight up vintage suits.. maybe I’ll do a post on my finds one day. Thanks for the idea 🙂
