We’re bananas for Janie Bryant for Banana Republic: Mad Men ’11 Collection

A big thanks to the team at Fashionising.com for the low-down on this one:

Janie Bryant – the costume designer responsible for dressing Don Draper, his colleagues and his women has created a Mad Men range for American retailer Banana Republic. Regular BusiChic readers will know that I like vintage and Janie Bryant and while I can’t feel the fabrics through my screen, I love the look of these publicity shots which I think have been perfectly styled to show how vintage and vintage-inspired pieces can be worn in the modern workplace. That said, I do wish that the poses were less stereotypical but I’ll save that for another post 😉 Check out the images below- click your way through the slide show or scroll down for an overview of the collection:

Now as reported on The Backseat Stylers, the collection is due to go on sale in North American retail outlets and online on 11 August 2011. That’s a whole month away so stay tuned over the week for our look at the Australian Mad Man-esque offerings you can get your chic hands on much sooner!
