The Man Who Gave Me Flowers

Veseli's Polished style and charm is inspiration for all gents looking to impress!

I beyond adore Veseli's tiny lapel vase in which he has housed this tiny flower, where to find one??

Veseli shared these images of himself as a younger gent with me, he took the one on the left himself using his trusty Leica. Beautiful work - does this make Veseli an early incarnation of a style blogger?!

The flowers that Veseli gifted me included this beautiful Gardenia.

Today’s BusiChic inspiration brought such a smile to my face and joy in my heart. I was driving up a busy road, when I noticed a sprightly elder gentleman plucking flowers from his garden to gift to those who passed by his home. He was beautiful in his polished attire and upright manner that I simply had to pull over, jump out of the car and ask to photograph him. Not only did Veseli agree, he even insisted on showing me photos of himself as a younger man then gifted me with flowers from his garden!

Veseli is 91 years old and in acceptance that his time is near which gives him a determination to enjoy each moment and bring joy where he can. This often means that he’ll bring flowers which he’ll gift to the ladies in the shops and he’ll chuckle and tell you that, “you will find that you will get the better service.” What a gentleman with style and substance, thank you Veseli for keeping me inspired!*
*Note, both ladies and gents, always wear a brooch as you never know when you might be gifted with a bloom which you can then wear, thereby adding more old-school charm to your workwear!
