Vintage chic in the laneway

Today I’m honoured to feature the style of a lady who works in vintage chic, style blogger Marianne of Esme and the Laneway. Do make sure that you check out her blog if you haven’t already!

Marianne in vintage that I think makes for an original take on Contemporary Business Wear.

Marianne wears a vintage brown dress with peter pan collar and matching jacket (late 1940s), new red wedges from Joanne Mercer and a red silk polka dot head scarf from an op shop!

I am a big fan of vintage frocks such as the one Marianne’s sporting because I personally believe that they have oodles of personality, are unique, are so flattering and not to mention, timeless!

I photographed Maryanne at the launch of Che; click on that link for more vintage style!

Would you wear a vintage frock to work? And if you do, where do you get yours from?

Comments

  1. I love the dress too – 95% of my wardrobe is vintage so it makes up most of what I wear to work. I like that the clothes have a personality and often are cheaper and better made than what I find in the shops today.

    • Yep vintage pieces can offer such great value, just takes a good eye and a bit of knack for picking out the right pieces; great to hear that you are on to it too!

  2. Gah – I can’t get over how awesome those shoes are 😀
