How to work biker chic

Are you following the BusiChic Black Dress Project? Bento designer, Sam Hardman, aka the lady behind the dress that I will be styling in 52 different ways for work is and took the time to provide some ideas of how I can style the Ruby dress. One of the ideas was to pair Ruby with a leather jacket to achieve biker chic. Then I came across today’s BusiChic sporting the look perfectly for her Creative office-space!

Alyson rocks biker chic in her creative office setting.

Dress: Bird by Juicy Couture
Shoes: Pour La Victoire
Jacket: Elizabeth and James
Bag: Marc Jacobs
Charm Bracelet: Tom Binns
Ring: Agent Provocateur
Lippy: By Terry in Pink Party
Nails: Mecca Cosmetica in Hippolyta (chips and shotty workmanship are original)
Sunburn: c/o Portsea Back Beach

Not a look for those in conservative (i.e. Corporate) workplaces, I think I could get away with trying out a similar look on Smart Casual days in my own office.

As for Alyson: wow! I think that she cuts an uber-chic figure in her elegantly-draped black dress that is given some edge by way of leather jacket and statement heels. The bright pop of colour provided by her lippy, nailpolish and handbag are also welcome. A great ensemble for effortlessly moving from work place to after work drinks!

What do you think of today’s biker chic ensemble?
