Streetstyle at LMFF: Business Woman in a Print Skirt

Print. I still remember the first report I ever wrote at work and the excitement of seeing it bound and in print. True story.

My penchant for print extends past words and into the type found in clothing. I particularly appreciate it when designers create collections around a print that they have designed themselves as while the cuts they choose might be simple, the print itself makes the piece unique. Today’s BusiChic featuree is the last of the after-work streetstyle I photographed at LMFF and a wonderful case study showing how to rock print during and after work.

Create a fashion-forward ensemble by pairing a neutral top and pumps with a printed skirt and colourful accessories.

When looking for a work-appropriate printed skirt, choose one cut in a flattering and classic pencil shape like this one.

Duyen wears a skirt from Zara – HK, top from Singapore, shoes from nine west and the necklace that provides a wonderful pop of colour is from eBay. Bag is also from a market in HK.

  1. I love this print skirt! Would be really interested to see where she got it from 🙂 It’s just stunning – and the perfect work or after work outfit. I like pencil skirts like that, you can feel professional at work yet still stylish outside of the office.
