The full work look

Thank goodness it’s Friday!

I’m tying off this week with a post that I featured earlier this week showing my colleague Richard pairing stylish sneakers with his suit. I loved the feedback that I got from some of you on the Business Chic Facebook page like this comment from Rick Anthony that I thought summed up the difference between “runners” and sneakers nicely:

Thanks Rick! So once a gent hits work, it’s important to get out of your kicks and into work shoes. Without further ado, here’s Richard in his full workwear:

A suit & work shoes - get changed into polished loafers once you get to work

I like how Richard has mish-mashed different prints: the checkered shirt with the diagonally-stripe tie and diamond-print pocket square. And then the colours - all these elements add interest to Richard's workwear.

Striped belt; more contrasting patterns.

Where possible, invest in a polished carry-all for luxe workwear style.

Richard wears:
Suit/ shirt/ tie – Arthur Galan AG
Belt – Bally
Pocketsquare – Godwin Charli
Sunglasses – Tom Ford
Bag & Watch – Raoul

What do you think of Richard’s work style and any further thoughts on runners vs sneakers with your workwear?

Also as part of #b03 I’ll be blogging BusiChic everyday for the month of March so please make sure that you check back in over the weekend!
