Week 15: LBD and the oriental cardigan

It’s Week 15 of the BusiChic Little Black Dress (LBD) Project where I’m wearing a LBD to work once a week for the whole year to share 52 different ways of styling this staple for the office. This week, I look at the oriental fashion trend by pairing my LBD with a kimono-shaped cardigan.

The knit that we know as the cardigan is a must-have in any BusiChic work wardrobe. This knit can come in many different styles as I’m sure I’ll be able to share over the course of this project! In this week’s LBD styling, I turned to Fashionising who amongst many other fashionising things, report on fashion trends like the blossoming oriental trend. Accordingly I’ve turned to Thurley for this beaded-sleeved kimono-style cardigan:

Cinch a voluminous cardigan with a belt to give yourself a more defined silhouette, like I've done with this kimono-styled number.

I’ve cinched in the Thurley beaded cardigan over my Bento LBD using a Vanessa Bruno patent leather belt then added my requisite opaques and ankle boots for a look that’s easy to wear in the office.
