Hi there BusiChic,
Funny thing, I had another post all ready to go but it just didn’t feel right to publish today and I was at a loss at what I was going to do! Then I received a gorgeous media release which reminded me that there are some things that I like about Valentine’s Day which is TOMORROW!
Personally I don’t celebrate the day, I prefer the “just because” flowers and gestures, like Jim from C*Juice Studio received while we were working on turning my Little Black Dress Project into a book last week!:
That said, if you need Valentine’s Day to give you the reason to make a romantic gesture – or would like to use it as an excuse to lock in some time with your sweetheart, I do have some things that I can recommend!
Regular BusiChics might recall my enthusiasm for the I, Animal event at Melbourne Zoo. This innovative and surprisingly emotive big-kids only experience (starts promptly at 6.30pm) blew my mind and has already led to one marriage proposal! Wowsers! It’s the present that I bought for my entire family at Christmas as it’s truly something that I think everyone needs to experience for themselves.

Longer time BusiChics may recall last year’s Valentine’s Day post that I did about Emma and Den Merkas of 30 Dollar Date Night. Their website is full of ideas on how to treat your loved one without breaking the mortgage repayments. Fun, practical and if you subscribe I believe that you might get an offer to their new venture featuring some very special deals for datin’, get on it!

Emma & Denis, founders of 30 Dollar Date Night – fun and practical dates on a budget and one of my favourite couples ever!
