Good morning BusiChic,

Feeling the chill and wanting to pump some colour into your workwear basics? Take inspiration from today’s BusiChic who works in Finance; Anna’s updated a basic white shirt, black pumps and grey scarf with a classic pencil skirt, bag and watch in fashion-forward print and colour!

Contemporary Business Wear in floral as demonstrated by Anna whom I photographed picking up her morning coffee.

Anna’s classic-shaped but brightly coloured accessories stood out to me like this Coach bag in blue; perfect to carry just one’s phone and wallet for picking up morning tea.

Fine design in this simple Alessi watch.

Here are the details of Anna’s business chic outfit:

Long, floral, pencil skirt from Asos, here’s a similar style for petites (160″) |    Black pumps from Tony Bianco |   Button down shirt from Saba |   Scarf from H&M << not yet available in Australia, although I’d love their more premium sister, cos to come! – Cheryl |    Small shoulder bag from Coach |    Watch from Alessi

Like Anna’s Contemporary Business Wear look that is chic and appropriate for most workplaces these days?

Hi Anna, thank you for allowing me to photograph you for BusiChic! Can you share what  inspires your workwear style?

Publications & Blogs: I’m pretty clueless actually so rely heavily on magazines such as In Style and retailer’s websites (& Other Stories is a new favourite <<ooh thanks for the introduction, Anna – new to me too! x Cheryl ) for ideas, plus by going into stores and seeing how they’ve styled outfits in the windows or on mannequins

Colleagues:  I’m very lucky to work with some wonderful people and in fact my colleague, Paul Kearney helped me assemble the outfit I had on Friday (Paul has even been snapped for another blog

Favourite shops for work attire: Saba, Cue, Zara, Banana Republic in the US or Club Monaco in Canada (who sadly don’t ship here!)– all for work wear basics, but then I like to mix it up by throwing something more exciting (I have some neon shoes that I like to wear to work with a basic suit to keep things interesting! )

Anna works in Human Resources in the Finance industry. I am quite fond of flowers and a good floral print, particularly taking a liking to Anna’s on-trend number that isn’t too twee. I like her style of mixing up workwear basics with something more exciting – What do you think of Anna’s look?
