Introducing Audrey Blue

Why is it so difficult to go out and buy clothes that are affordable and look good from a label that also believes in being ethical to its workers and the planet?

Well ladies are in luck with the introduction of Audrey Blue:

“Audrey Blue believes that women of all shapes and sizes should be able to source good quality, reasonably priced clothes that make them feel good and look great. Audrey Blue garments will be designed for comfort, style and be worn over many seasons.

We also believe that all aspects of the clothing manufacturing and transport process should seek to minimise the environmental impact of the activity and, where possible, be carbon neutral. Clothing manufacturing should not exploit the people who produce the fibre, fabric or finished garment.”

I asked Audrey Blue’s creator, Hannah Paris, to send me some items so that I could photograph them properly over the coming weeks. Well I like the pieces so much I’m going to have to buy them!  Check out these quick snaps of me wearing the the cowl neck top which is made from 90% organic and fairtrade cotton, 10% spandex. I genuinely find them really comfortable for work AND play! There are a number of chic and timeless styles to choose from in the range; I chose this one for its longer sleeves and how good is the dose of vibrant colour?

I like how I can play with the neckline of the cowl neck top to create different necklines (secured with a safety pin or brooch).

This week Audrey Blue has just launched its first range of white business shirts;

Australia’s first collection of certified organic and fairtrade cotton women’s business shirts

Certified under the  GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and FLO (Fairtrade International) labels, this achievement is an Australian first.  I take my hat off to Hannah for this achievement particularly as her items are still so AFFORDABLE!

Audrey Blue shirts come in four different styles to suit different bodyshapes (another win!) and this week can be pre-ordered at a discount of 10%. Prices start from $76.56  – wow!
