The Personal Style Challenge

I don’t know about you, BusiChic but personally, I enjoy getting dressed for work. Whether I geek out in oversized glasses, clash prints, or opt for brighter than bright lippies – I enjoy bringing my personality to work through the way that I dress- within the boundaries of my office dresscode, of course. That’s why I enjoy personal style challenges set on instagram like the one set by Paula Joye earlier this year and another by Andrea Zanetich from Fox in Flat’s who also has one that is on NOW.

So how does an instagram-style-challenge-work?  It starts when the darer sets the challenges (for the week or month) by issuing the “prompt” which is essentially the list of dares and usually in the form of a pretty and shareable image. It’s then up to the darees to accept the challenge and incorporate the daily prompt into what they’re wearing. Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim is known for her month-long photo-a-day challenges #FMSphotoaday that prompt instagrammers to simply take one photo, each day.

To illustrate, here’s the prompt for Fox in Flat’s week-long style dare that’s on now:

Yup there’s still time to join Andrea’s challenge – simply share a photo on instagram as per the prompt and use the hashtag #foxinflatsstyledare

And here’s a look at my participation in the challenge on Monday-Thursday, this week:

BusiChic Style Challenge?

I’d love to one day start up a BusiChic style dare and keep saying that I will once I hit 2000 followers on instagram. At this stage, my personal account busichic is currently at 1150 and the BusinessChic account at 705 so I’ve still got some way to go (any help appreciated)! But what do you think?

Do you enjoy a style challenge and think that you’d be interested in a BusiChic one? It could help you look at your office style in a whole new light! Or what sort of content would you like to see more of here? I’d love to hear from you!
