My style: Navy and silver

It’s been another week of getting here there and everywhere – 2015 is well and truly underway!

The weather’s been all over the shop too – wintry one moment then warm and humid the next – what’s a BusiChic supposed to wear? During the sales I picked up a duster coat to provide an alternative to my otherwise oft-worn trench coat. So without further ado, here’s the first twirl of what I believe will be a new wardrobe staple:

Navy pairs so well with metallics – think gold, rose-gold, copper, brass and as I’ve done here- silver.

Looking for a new coat? Navy is a great alternative to black which can be a bit harsh on skintones under fluorescent lighting or in bright sunlight.

I’m wearing: duster coat from asos, silk shirt dress in ink from muji which I bought during our honeymoon in Japan but which I’ve since found is stocked at muji in Melbourne, contrasting slip in sage green from Alannah Hill, necklace by Anna Varendorff and shoes by Bared Footwear.

What colours dominate your work wardrobe?

  1. Love your coat!!!
I’m seriously considering a navy coat for tis winter.

    • Thanks Luci! I think that navy is one of those colours that work so well for us dark-hair girls, particularly when it comes to coats as the usual black can sometimes feel too dark overall. I actually just visited a newly launched brand Once Was and they have a divine navy coat that would look amazing on you! xx

  2. Love the new coat! And I have a real thing for navy at the moment!
