Visit: Etsy at The Cullen

If you are in Melbourne this weekend or until the end of the month, here’s a stylish collaboration that you must certainly visit or book to stay in.

Have you heard of Etsy? I am a die-hard fan so please forgive me if I am surprised that you haven’t spent countless hours clicking through this online community of vintage stores and makers- it’s the perfect thing to curl up and do when it’s cold outside! I usually spend time on the site looking for vintage accessories and clothing although we did request a whole bunch of customised stationery and pieces for our wedding last year. Even then I hadn’t quite realised that the online community could also be called upon for stylish products to decorate one’s own home! This has been oh-so-stylishly demonstrated in a new collaboration with The Art Series Hotels that is open to the public this Saturday (April 11) and available for guests to book and experience from April 13-29. Here are photos from the media preview I attended just the other night:

“We started off by selecting products from Etsy makers that fitted in with the hotel’s style then which fitted in with our aesthetic.” – Marsha Golemac on the design process around fitting out The Cullen suite with items from Etsy Australia.

“It would have been easy to have over 100 products but our brief was to create a relaxing retreat where guests can rest and have space to put their own things and live.”
